Moonlight over the Charles Bridge in Prague

I was out for a walk in Kampa Park looking at some weird giant rodents called nutria and stayed out to take some epic photos of the full moon over Charles Bridge. After the astronomical clock, the Charles Bridge is the most popular place to visit in Prague. It is almost always jammed with tourists. Walking across it takes quadruple the time it normally would to cover that distance because of all the people taking photos and selfies, the artists who block the way with their wares, and musical groups that attract a crowd and make the bridge almost impassable.

The location of my Airbnb is so close to the Charles Bridge. I’d prefer to be a bit further away, now that I know how crowded it is around here.

I took a day trip to Karlovy Vary, about two hours away on the Flixbus. It is a spa town with geysers and other fountains around town for folks to drink the water. I tasted it. It was weird and salty. The architecture of the town is cool and the Diana Funicular/Tower was a nice attraction with an amazing view. I have been seeing fall colors for about a month now across 6 states/countries. I think a good wind and a cold snap would mean the end of the pretty leaves for me.

I’m off to Budapest tomorrow by train.
